In the 10 years since the commencement of the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act, 2006, on 21st December, 2016, that only 46 applications have been made, of which 29 have been granted to date (with 9 refused; 3 withdrawn and 5 awaiting decision), and few of these applications were determined within 18 weeks.
