Project Description: Development: Development of Light Industrial and Warehousing Units at Blarney Business Park
Services: Coakley O’Neill have been retained by JCD, as planning consultants for the development of a network of Light Industrial/Business/Office units within the existing Blaney Business Park, which is a strategically located business campus set in over 70 acres with direct access to the N20 and just 6km north of Cork City. Our roles have included bringing a full application through the planning process, as well as modifying existing permissions within the site so that the units are fit-for-purpose, delivering employment-generating developments for Cork City.

Hammond Lane Crag Avenue Clondalkin

Project Description New metal recycling facility
Services:Recently advised on the proposed upgrade to the Hammond Lane facility at Pigeon House Road, Dublin Port, an EPA licensed facility, which was granted permission in 2018. Planning advisor on the 90,000 tonne capacity ferrous/non-ferrous metal recycling plant at Crag Avenue, Clondalkin, Co. Dublin, which was granted planning permission in 8 weeks in July, 2013. Previously advised on the proposed expansion/relocation of an established metal recycling facility in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, granted permission by Cork County Council on 14th February, 2013.

Cork Pharmaceuticals

Project Description: Development: Masterplanning and planning applications
Planning consultant on the masterplan and application for site development works to facilitate the expansion of the Janssen Pharmaceutical plant in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, granted on 27th March, 2017 without appeal. A subsequent application for the 19,116m2 expansion of the existing Janssen plant, including EIAR, was granted permission on 29th September, 2017, without appeal. Extension projects at MSD Brinny, Alcon Laboratories, Leo Pharma, Carbery Foods and Merck Millipore plants were granted in January, February, May, October, 2018 and January, 2019 without appeal.

Services:Planning sub-consultant on the application for Substitute Consent, including EIS and NIS, permitted by An Bord Pleanála under the Planning and Development Act 2010, as amended, in August, 2014 and planning permission, without appeal, for the continuance of use of the existing limestone quarry, including EIS and NIS, from Fingal County Council in June 2016, for Roadstone Ltd, Feltrim Quarry, Swords, Co. Dublin. Previously planning sub-consultant on a 10-year planning permission, without appeal, in November, 2012, for the owner Tom Tuohy for the continuation of, and expansion to, the extraction of sand and gravel at Golden Garden Sand & Graval Quarry, Goldengarden, Kilpatrick (Donohill), Co. Tipperary.
